These are hip and gorgeous! I found my supplies at my local Joanns Fabrics and Crafts as well as Michaels.

  • bag of leather scraps (all kinds of colors!) for only $10 (plus a 60% off coupon!)
  • jewelry findings – earring hooks and jump rings, feather charms (Michaels)
  • metallic pens – I found mine in the scrapbooking section and they worked beautifully

This was so easy and quick. I stained my wood plaque with a spray-on stain I found at Wal-Mart. After spraying, I made sure to wipe the wood with a clean cloth to spread the stain and get rid of drips. Worked beautifully! Then I found clipart of sunglasses and used that as a template to cut my photos out. Sprayed the backs with adhesive spray, attached them to the wood, and voila! Done!

3. Pet Pop Art (left)

This was a little time-consuming in the editing part, but I like the results!

4. Flower Pot Revamp

I had painted my flower pots copper with a pop of color on the inside. They were okay. I decided to bring one pot indoors and wanted a crisper, more modern look. So I painted the outside with white acrylic paint and touched up the inside color. Put some foam in the bottom, covered with rocks (both from Dollar Tree), then added rubber succulents I had picked up at Michaels a while back. Love the result! My sister thought they were real succulents!

image55. Sugar Scrubs

These are so divine. And so simple. Get your skin all smooth and moisturized for swimsuit season! I use coconut oil (in a jar), sugar, essential oils, and soap dye (from Michaels). I love all scents citrus, they are so energizing and fresh. I recommend orange, lemon and lime (I think of Skittles when I use the lime scrub – back when green Skittles were lime, not apple!).

This is the tutorial I first used. I think it’s a nice ratio of oil to sugar. http://figandhoney.co/2013/08/21/lemonbodyscrub/

Hope you try some of these great DIYs and enjoy your summer leisure time!
